| Obverse description | The obverse features a plain field enclosed by an inner beaded circle, at the center of which the large numeral '5' is prominently struck as the denomination. Surrounding the inner beaded circle, a circular legend in raised Latin capital letters reads 'D.T.S. WERKE KRAUSCHWITZ', punctuated by two five-pointed stars at either side. The design is framed by an outer beaded rim running along the full circumference of the coin, lending the piece its utilitarian notgeld character. |

| Additional information |
D.T.S. Werke Krauschwitz was a German industrial firm that issued notgeld tokens during the economic disruptions of the early Weimar period, when small-denomination coinage disappeared from circulation almost entirely. Factory-issued pfennig tokens of this type were redeemable only at company-affiliated stores or canteens, effectively tying workers' purchasing power to their employer.
