| Beschrijving keerzijde | An outer pearl border encircles the entire reverse field. Within, a secondary inner pearl circle separates the peripheral legend from the central device. The legend KRIEGSNOTGELD arcs along the upper portion between the two pearl borders, flanked at its terminals by small rosette ornaments. The large numeral '5' occupies the center of the inner circle as the denomination, with the date 1917 inscribed at the base below the inner pearl border. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Dillkreis issued this piece under the emergency coinage provisions that proliferated across German municipal and district authorities from 1916 onward, as the imperial government's wartime metal requisitions stripped copper and nickel from civilian circulation entirely. Zinc was allocated to local issuers almost by default — it was what remained. Thousands of distinct Kriegsgeld types appeared across Germany during this period, making district-level attribution and die variety research the primary challenge for collectors working this series.
