The legend KRIEGSNOTGELD arcs along the upper portion between the two pearl borders, flanked at its terminals by small rosette ornaments. The large numeral '5' occupies the center of the inner circle as the denomination, with the date 1917 inscribed at the base below the inner pearl border. |
