正面描述	Intaglio-printed portrait vignette of General Manuel Belgrano occupies the right half of the note, with his name inscribed below in small capitals. The left side carries a large guilloche numeral '5' alongside intricate lathe-work underprint in pale blue and green tones. Two facsimile signatures appear in the centre below the denomination, attributed to the Gerente General and the Presidente of the bank.

备注	The "LEY" overprint distinguishes this issue from the otherwise identical P#287 series — a legal designation acknowledging the monetary reform law that authorized the peso ley 18.188, which effectively redenominated Argentine currency at 100 old pesos moneda nacional to 1 new peso ley. The overprint was a stopgap while new plates were prepared, a common Argentine practice during the chronic monetary turbulence of the early 1970s. Casa de Moneda produced the full series domestically. Jorge Nicastro and Adelma Cabrera were both staff engravers there — a rare instance of named Argentine engravers on a circulating note of this period.
