Obverse description Intaglio-printed portrait vignette of General Manuel Belgrano occupies the right half of the note, with his name inscribed below in small capitals. The left side carries a large guilloche numeral '5' alongside intricate lathe-work underprint in pale blue and green tones. Two facsimile signatures appear in the centre below the denomination, attributed to the Gerente General and the Presidente of the bank.
