Descripción del anverso The face is printed in red on plain paper within an oval guilloche border. An anchor and scales of justice vignette occupies the upper centre, flanked by oval cartouches inscribed with the issuer's name at left and right. The denomination numeral '5' appears in large letterpress at both lateral margins. The central text block carries the obligation legend in Cyrillic, with the large bold inscription ПЕТ ПЕРПЕРА below it. Two manuscript signatures appear beneath the titles of the President of the Main State Comptroller and the Minister of Finance, with an official violet oval stamp between them. Serial number and series designations are repeated in the lower cartouche, and a validity clause with the date 25 јула 1914 is printed at the foot.

Descripción del reverso The reverse is printed in red and carries a dense microtext underprint covering the entire field, formed by the repeating legend КРАЉЕВИНА ЦРНАГОРА in continuous lines. At the upper centre the state title КРАЉЕВИНА ЦРНАГОРА is printed in bold Cyrillic, below which the Montenegrin royal coat of arms — a double-headed eagle — occupies the centre as a large vignette. The denomination ПЕТ ПЕРПЕРА is printed in bold below the arms, followed by a two-line legal basis inscription and a warning clause against counterfeiting at the foot; the numeral '5' is repeated in each corner.

Montenegro's 1914 note issues were produced entirely domestically in Cetinje — an unusual circumstance born of necessity, as the country lacked any established relationship with the major European security printers. The Austro-Hungarian invasion later that year disrupted the entire monetary apparatus, and significant quantities of these notes never reached normal circulation channels.

The microtext underprint is notable precisely because it was executed locally rather than by a specialist security printer. How effectively it functioned as an anti-counterfeiting measure under those production conditions remains an open question among specialists.
