| Obverse description | Printed in dark blue on a tan-brown underprint, the note is framed by an ornate guilloche border with the legend STADT APOLDA repeated in each corner. A dense central guilloche vignette in Fraktur script carries the denomination FÜNF MARK in large bold letters across the middle field. Above the denomination, the issuing authority text is set in two lines of Gothic script, below which the place and date of issue appear, followed by two manuscript signatures above the printed titles of the municipal officials. |
