| Obverse description | Against a mirror-polished field, a large stylised crescent and geometric Art Deco-inspired angular motif occupies the left and centre of the design, evoking both Azerbaijani national symbolism and a railway track. To the right, the State Emblem of Azerbaijan is depicted in high relief, featuring the eight-pointed star with a flame motif at its centre, encircled by oak and wheat branches. The legend AZƏRBAYCAN RESPUBLİKASI arcs along the upper periphery in Latin characters, while the denomination 5 MANAT appears along the lower rim. Two small eight-pointed star ornaments flank the design at the lower left and right. |
