Ukraine has issued lunar new year coins since the early 2000s, a series aimed squarely at export markets and diaspora collectors rather than domestic circulation. The 2025 Snake issue follows that commercial logic without deviation. German silver — a copper-nickel-zinc alloy carrying no actual silver — is the workhorse material of the run, keeping production costs low against a mintage model built on collector premiums.
