| Descrizione del dritto | Within a beaded inner circle, a displayed eagle occupies the upper field above a left-facing bear, the two figures forming the heraldic arms of the City of Bern. The devices are rendered in the bold, somewhat schematic Gothic style typical of early fifteenth-century Swiss municipal coinage. The surrounding legend in uncial characters reads + MONETA * BERNENSIS, separated by star stops, and is contained between the inner beaded circle and the coin's irregular hammered rim. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | A bold ornate cross with splayed terminals dominates the central field, its four arms radiating from a small rosette of four pellets at the centre, all contained within a beaded inner circle. The cross arms are elaborately decorated with foliate or Gothic trefoil motifs, characteristic of the high-medieval Swiss die-cutting tradition. The surrounding uncial legend + SANCTVS * VINCENCIVS, invoking Saint Vincent of Saragossa, the patron saint of Bern, runs between the inner circle and the outer hammered rim, separated by star stops. |
