Obverse description Within a central circular raised field, the right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, diademed and wearing a pearl necklace and drop earring, after the Raphael Maklouf portrait. The legend 'ELIZABETH II' arcs along the left border of the circle, 'NIUE' appears at top centre, and 'FIVE DOLLARS' arcs along the right border, all in raised Latin lettering. The date '2015' is inscribed below the effigy at the base of the circle, with '70 g 999 FINE SILVER' further below in the rectangular field. The overall rectangular flan features rounded corners with a brushed, matte silver surface surrounding the polished central medallion.

Reverse description The reverse reproduces a detailed depiction inspired by Gustav Klimt's celebrated painting 'The Kiss' (1907–08), rendered in vibrant gold finishing across the rectangular flan. The composition features richly ornamented robes adorned with characteristic Klimt-style geometric and floral motifs, including triangular and spiral patterns in gold, green, and polychrome enamel tones. The surface treatment employs a pronounced gold-coloured iris finishing technique that evokes the luminous, mosaic-like quality of Klimt's original oil-on-canvas masterwork. The rectangular format of the coin serves to frame the artwork as a miniature panel, emphasising its painterly character. This piece represents the fifteenth and final instalment in a series of fifteen rectangular silver coins dedicated to Klimt's 'The Kiss'.
