| Beschrijving voorzijde | The right-facing effigy of His Majesty King Charles III is set within a circular cartouche mounted at the centre of an ornate five-pointed sheriff's star badge rendered in high relief, its points tipped with spherical finials. The surrounding field depicts a dramatic Wild West stagecoach scene in fine sculptural relief: a four-horse team gallops at full stride across a rocky desert landscape, with saguaro cacti to the left, a soaring eagle to the upper right, and two figures atop the coach — one cracking a whip, the other firing a rifle — against a backdrop of canyon bluffs and a rising sun. The circular legend around the effigy reads '5 DOLLARS · CHARLES III · 2024 · COOK ISLANDS ·', with the engraver's initials 'DT' also present. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents an evocative composition celebrating the legends of the American Wild West. At centre, the infamous 'Dead Man's Hand' — the two-pair poker hand of aces and eights — is depicted alongside a reference to the No. 10 Saloon in Deadwood, the site of Wild Bill Hickok's murder. Flanking the central motif are portrait representations of three iconic frontier figures: Billy the Kid, Wild Bill Hickok, and Calamity Jane. A .45 calibre cartridge, symbolising the bullet that ended Hickok's life, is also featured as part of the composition. Inscriptions identify the saloon, the calibre of the weapon, and the hand itself. |
