| Obverse description | Printed in dark blue, the obverse presents a central vignette of a traditional Chinese pavilion with a multi-storey pagoda rising in the background at centre left, all within a decorative border with corner rosettes. The denomination 伍角 (Five Chiao) appears in an oval guilloche panel at right, with large Chinese characters 伍 (five) at left and right margins. Two red official seals are affixed at lower centre, and a red serial number is printed at upper right beneath the bank title 華中銀行 in Chinese characters. |

| Reverse description | Printed entirely in red, the reverse carries the English bank title THE BANK OF CENTRAL CHINA at top centre within an ornate scrollwork heading. A large numeral 50 occupies the central guilloche medallion, accompanied by the legend FIFTY CENTS below it, with the numeral 50 repeated in each of the four corner rosette panels. Two Chinese inscription panels with handwritten characters appear at lower centre flanking the central medallion, and the year 1945 is printed at the lower margin. |
