| Obverse description | Printed in red-brown and green, the obverse centres on the green oval seal of the Banco Nacional Ultramarino against a bicolour ground with intricate guilloche underprint. The note is framed by ornate embroidered-style borders typical of early twentieth-century intaglio work. Text inscriptions in Portuguese identify the issuing branch at Nova Goa and the denomination, with the date of issue at lower centre. |

| Reverse description | Printed in green and pink, the reverse carries a central vignette of a seated allegorical female figure accompanied by a sailing ship, evoking maritime trade and colonial commerce. The numeral of value appears on both left and right within panels enclosed by elaborate embroidered guilloche borders. The overall design is executed in a restrained two-colour letterpress and intaglio combination consistent with Bradbury Wilkinson production of the period. |
