| Beschrijving keerzijde | The crowned Royal Arms of Spain displayed as a quartered shield at center, bearing the castles of Castile and the lions of León in alternating quarters, with a central escutcheon bearing the French Bourbon fleur-de-lis. The shield is surmounted by a large royal crown in high relief. To the left of the shield the denomination numeral 4 appears, flanked by decorative rosette stops. The mint assayer initials and mint mark — M for Mexico City, Mo as the monogram, and F for assayer Felipe de Urbiña — appear in the lower field. The circular legend NOMINA MAGNA SEQUOR, meaning 'I follow the loftiest of names,' runs around the upper periphery. |
