正面描述 The obverse features a central decorative cartouche or ornamental device, likely the city arms or an heraldic emblem of Toruń, flanked by scrolling foliate ornaments in Renaissance style. Below and surrounding the central device, a multi-line Latin commemorative inscription fills the field, recording the hostile siege and successful defense of the city with divine assistance on 16 February 1629. The legend reads: THORVNIA / HOSTILITER OPPUGNATA ET DEO AUXILIANTE / AC CIVIBUS DEFENSA DIE XVI FEBR. ANNO DOM. MDCXXIX. The composition is entirely textual and heraldic, with no portrait effigy, reflecting the commemorative nature of the issue. The hammered flan displays characteristic uneven surfaces typical of early seventeenth-century municipal coinage.

背面描述 The reverse presents a detailed panoramic view of the city of Toruń, depicting its skyline with prominent towers, city walls, and ecclesiastical and civic buildings rendered in a schematic but recognizable manner characteristic of siege commemoratives of the period. The cityscape occupies the central field, conveying the fortified urban landscape that withstood the 1629 siege. A circular Latin legend surrounds the design, reading SIGNUM FIDELITATIS ET CONSTANTIAE / PER TE DOMINE, expressing the city's loyalty, constancy, and reliance upon divine protection. Small decorative stops separate the legend elements along the periphery. The overall composition serves as a civic proclamation of the city's resilience and piety.
