Obverse description Central quartered shield bearing the arms of the della Rovere dynasty, surmounted by a large ducal crown with prominent globed points. The four quarters display heraldic charges associated with the Duchy of Urbino, including an eagle, a central pale charged with armorial devices, diagonal bends, and additional dynastic emblems. The crowned arms are rendered in a robust late Renaissance engraving style characteristic of hammered Italian coinage. A circular Latin legend runs along the inner border, separated from the shield by a dotted inner ring, identifying the ruler and his title.
