Oberschlierbach is a small Upper Austrian municipality, and this 30 Heller notgeld is exactly what you'd expect from a village-level emergency issue of 1920 — a locally printed, locally signed stopgap produced to address the chronic small-change shortage that persisted in Austria well after the armistice. Karl Huber operated out of Urfahr, a former independent town on the north bank of the Danube that was absorbed into Linz in 1919, meaning this note was printed in a place that had itself just ceased to exist as a separate municipality.
