Lausa bei Losenstein is a tiny rural commune in Upper Austria — the kind of settlement whose Notgeld issues were printed in small quantities for purely local use during the postwar coin shortage of 1919–1920. Austria's fractional coinage had effectively vanished from circulation by that point, hoarded or melted, leaving village councils to fill the gap themselves. The 30 Heller denomination sits in the middle range of the typical Gemeindenotgeld issues from this region, neither the smallest nor a high-value piece.
Documentation on Lausa's specific print run is sparse. Survival likely depends more on collectors buying them as novelties at the time than on any genuine circulation history.
