Central round hole is surrounded by a raised square set at 45 degrees, forming a lozenge or diamond shape, with four pointed leaf-like projections extending from each corner to create a stylised star motif. The entire central device is set within a plain field. The circumferential legend, separated from the field by a continuous border of raised denticles, reads 'TERRITORY·OF·NEW·GUINEA' in the upper arc and '3·PENCE·1935·' in the lower arc. |
