Descrizione del dritto	Central round hole divides the four digits of the date, with '19' to the left and '35' to the right. A St. Edward's Crown is positioned at the top of the field, above the hole. Below the hole, the royal cypher 'G·R·I·' (Georgius Rex Imperator) is rendered in ornate interlaced script. The coin border features a continuous pattern of raised denticles framing the design.

Descrizione del rovescio	Central round hole is surrounded by a raised square set at 45 degrees, forming a lozenge or diamond shape, with four pointed leaf-like projections extending from each corner to create a stylised star motif. The entire central device is set within a plain field. The circumferential legend, separated from the field by a continuous border of raised denticles, reads 'TERRITORY·OF·NEW·GUINEA' in the upper arc and '3·PENCE·1935·' in the lower arc.
