| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield with a rising sun above a sailing ship, supported by a marlin to the left and a flamingo to the right, surmounted by a conch shell helm and crest of native vegetation. A scroll below the shield bears the two-part motto 'FORWARD UPWARD ONWARD TOGETHER'.
