Comments

Kloster Zinna is not a town in any conventional sense — it is a former Cistercian monastery settlement near Jüterbog whose administrative existence as an independent commune was already anomalous by 1920. That the Magistrat here issued its own notgeld rather than relying on the surrounding district reflects the fractured local governance common in rural Brandenburg during the post-war coin famine. R. Stock was a Jüterbog printer of modest regional reach; the watermarked paper was almost certainly a security affectation more than a genuine anti-counterfeiting measure, given the note's negligible face value.
