| Obverse description | Laureate head of Apollo facing left, rendered in fine late Classical style with delicately modelled features and flowing locks of hair adorned with a laurel wreath of naturalistic form. The hair falls in wavy tresses behind the neck, exhibiting the high artistic quality characteristic of Syracusan engraving of the Agathoclean period. Behind the head, in the right field, a small oinochoe (jug) serves as a control symbol. The whole is set within a fine beaded border. |

| Reverse description | A Delphic tripod cauldron rendered in careful detail, shown frontally with its three legs resting on a base ring and its bowl supported by a columnar shaft with encircling bands; the cauldron lid is surmounted by a finial. The ethnic legend ΣYPAK-OΣIΩN is disposed in two segments flanking the tripod in the field, written in Greek letters. The composition fills the flan with restrained economy, within a plain linear border. |
