The regnal year '8' (سنة ٨) appears below the tuğra, denoting the eighth year of his reign. The intricate vegetal frame is characteristic of late Ottoman imperial coinage style. A small hole is pierced near the top of the coin, indicating former use as a pendant or ornament. |
