| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a central rectangular cartouche bearing a multi-line Arabic inscription in the field, giving the mint name and Hijri date, all enclosed within the same elaborate scrolling arabesque border of foliate and floral ornament as the obverse. The inscription records the mint of Constantinople (قسطنطينية) and the regnal year 1327 of the Hijri calendar. The overall design reflects the refined decorative aesthetic of late Ottoman gold coinage. A pierced hole is visible at the top, consistent with the obverse. |

Struck in the third year of Ottoman involvement in World War I, this small gold issue appeared as the empire's finances were under severe strain from simultaneous campaigns in Gallipoli, Mesopotamia, and the Caucasus. The gold content was maintained at the traditional fineness — a deliberate political signal of fiscal confidence the treasury could barely sustain.
