| Obverse description | Central device depicting the Tajik state crown (toj), rendered in relief with decorative battlements along its base, surmounted by a stylised crescent finial. An arc of seven five-pointed stars encircles the crown in the upper field. The circular legend • ҶУМҲУРИИ ТОҶИКИСТОН • (Republic of Tajikistan) runs along the periphery in Cyrillic characters, interrupted by two small dots at lower left and right. The date of issue appears in the exergue below the crown. |

The entire composition is contained within a plain raised rim, with the mint mark of the Saint Petersburg Mint (СПМД) visible in the lower portion of the cartouche. |
