The three card characters, identifiable by the spade, ace, and club suit markings on their livery, hold paintbrushes and a bucket of red paint, rendered in vibrant polychrome enamel coloring. Behind them rises a large heart-shaped rose bush, its blooms colored red against a silver-toned leafy background. The Disney wordmark appears at the upper left in stylized lettering above the bold legend ALICE in WONDERLAND, with the commemorative dates 1951 - 2021 inscribed below. Issued as part of Cook Islands' long-running program of licensed Disney-themed novelty coinage, this piece has no monetary or historical significance beyond its place in that collector series. Cook Islands has issued legal tender under its own authority since 1972, but the vast majority of its modern commemorative output is produced for the collector market by external minting houses and never circulates on the islands.
