| Obverse description | Central design features the coat of arms of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, depicting a spread eagle with a crowned head, its wings raised and displaying radiating feathers, with a shield on its breast; the arms are encircled by a wreath of laurel and oak branches. The Armenian legend arcing around the upper interior of the arms reads the name and title of the republic, with the additional designation ԱՐՑԱԽ (Artsakh). Two olive branches flank the coat of arms in the outer field. The denomination 25000 appears below the central device, flanked by the fineness mark 999° to the right. The date 1998 is inscribed at the top of the field, and the Armenian legend ՔՍԱՆՀԻՆԳ ՀԱԶԱՐ ԱՐՑԱԽԻ ԴՐԱՄ (Twenty-Five Thousand Artsakh Drams) curves along the lower border. |
