| Obverse description | Armored and draped bust of Emperor Ferdinand II facing right, wearing a ruffled collar and ornate breastplate, his hair flowing beneath an imperial laurel. The date appears in the lower field flanking the portrait. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, interrupted at the top by the bust itself, reading FERDINANDVS II D G RO I S A GER H B REX with the year. The portrait is rendered in the mannerist style typical of early seventeenth-century Habsburg coinage from the Graz mint. |
