表面の説明	Draped and armored bust of Duke Charles I facing right, with flowing curled wig, occupying the central field. The portrait is rendered in high relief in the German Baroque tradition, with fine detailing on the lace cravat and shoulder armor. The circular legend reads CAROLVS D•G• DVX BR•ET LVN around the periphery, interrupted by the bust. A mintmaster initial M appears in the lower field beneath the truncation. The coin's milled edge is visible at the border.

裏面の説明	A prancing horse leaping to the left, the traditional heraldic emblem of the House of Brunswick-Lüneburg, rendered in high relief at the center of the field. The motto NVNQVAM RETRORSVM arcs along the upper legend, accompanied by the date 1746 to the right. The denomination 2½ THALER is inscribed in the lower exergual area, with the mintmaster's initials EK flanking the date in the upper field. The overall composition is bold and well-centered, consistent with the high-quality gold coinage of the Clausthal Mint.
