Obverse description Red-brown on light tan underprint with an intricate guilloche lattice pattern covering the entire field. The title ZILVERBON is printed in large bold letterpress across the upper centre, with SURINAME at the top and the denomination 2.50 in large numerals at centre, repeated in the four corners. Two manuscript signatures appear below the date line of 12 April 1918, attributed to the Acting Administrator of Finance and the Governor of Suriname, with the legend WETTIG BETAALMIDDEL at foot.
