Beschrijving voorzijde The obverse is printed in red-brown and teal on a cream ground, with an elaborate border of interlaced geometric and folk-ornament guilloche work enclosing the entire field. Opmerkingen

The Ukrainian State Bank's 2000 Hryven note of 1918 belongs to one of the most turbulent issuing sequences in modern European monetary history. The Ukrainian People's Republic and its successor governments cycled through multiple printing arrangements between 1917 and 1920, with some denominations produced in Kyiv and others contracted abroad — the distinction matters when assessing paper and ink quality across surviving examples.

At 2000 Hryven, this was among the highest denominations issued during the period, a direct consequence of the inflationary pressure driven by civil war, competing occupation currencies, and the near-complete breakdown of commodity exchange in 1918 Ukraine. High-denomination notes from this sequence typically saw brief, intense circulation before being rendered worthless by successive regime changes.
