Cameroon's high-denomination collector issues of the 2020s are produced under licensing arrangements typical of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community, where the issuing state lends its name but the coins are designed, struck, and distributed entirely by private European minting houses — in this case almost certainly the Prestige Numismatique network operating out of France. The BEAC, which governs the CFA franc zone, has no formal role in these releases, and the pieces never circulate domestically.
At 81 grams, the striking pressure required for a bimetallic of this diameter poses known alignment challenges between the silver plug and copper collar during the colleting process.
