The figure of Christ is depicted with arms outstretched along the horizontal arms of the cross-shaped coin, with a draped loincloth about the waist and naturalistic musculature rendered with sculptural precision. The ornate cross features decorative trefoil terminals at each of its four arms, and the contrasting silver of the corpus against the rose-gold copper ground creates a striking bimetallic visual effect. Cameroon's high-denomination collector issues of the 2020s are produced under licensing arrangements typical of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community, where the issuing state lends its name but the coins are designed, struck, and distributed entirely by private European minting houses — in this case almost certainly the Prestige Numismatique network operating out of France. The BEAC, which governs the CFA franc zone, has no formal role in these releases, and the pieces never circulate domestically.
