At left, a circular vignette bears the Cuban national coat of arms encircled by the legend BANCO NACIONAL DE CUBA. At centre, the denomination numeral '20' is rendered in large orange-red intaglio-style figures overprinted with the text VEINTE PESOS in blue. To the right, a large ornate letter 'C' within a radiating circular guilloche panel serves as the series identifier.
