At centre, the denomination numeral '20' appears in bold within an oval cartouche flanked by symmetrical star and scroll ornaments; a series letter 'A' is printed at upper left. Below, the body text in Fraktur script sets out the conditions of acceptance by the Stadtkasse, the expiry date of 31 January 1919, and the city's guarantee of redemption, concluded with the place and date 'Hersfeld, 4. November 1918' and two manuscript signatures beneath the legend 'Der Magistrat:'. |
