The circumferential legend B: NICALAUS VON FLÜE ·I·H· runs around the periphery in Roman capitals, with the date 1742 appearing in the lower exergue area. The reverse engraving exhibits a vigorous Baroque style consistent with Swiss cantonal silver coinage of the period. |
