| Obverse description | The obverse displays the elaborate quartered coat of arms of the Czechoslovak Republic occupying the central field, incorporating the Bohemian lion rampant, the Moravian eagle, the Slovak double cross, and the Subcarpathian Ruthenian bears, all rendered in fine detail in the Art Deco style characteristic of engraver Jaroslav Horejc. A beaded inner border frames the shield. The circular legend REPUBLIKA ČESKOSLOVENSKÁ arcs around the periphery, with the denomination 20 Kč positioned at the top between decorative dot ornaments. The engraver's initials J·H appear at the base of the design flanking the shield. |
