The denomination numeral '20' appears in decorative cartouches at upper left and right, each accompanied by a ribbon banner inscribed 'Heller', while the issuing authority heading 'Notgeld der Gemeinde' arches across the top in Gothic script above the large locality name 'Eschenau' and the regional abbreviation 'Ob. The text presents the legal declaration of issue, stating that the Municipality of Eschenau, by resolution of the municipal council of 30 May 1920, issues emergency currency (Notgeld) to a total value of 30,000 Kronen, redeemable in lawful currency between 1 and 31 March 1921, with the municipality's full assets pledged as guarantee. The document closes with an anti-counterfeiting warning and the printed signature of the Bürgermeister. |
