| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of the Republic of the Congo occupies the central field, depicting a rampant lion passant on a shield, flanked by two African forest elephants serving as supporters, each facing inward toward the escutcheon. A mural crown surmounts the shield, and a scroll beneath the supporters bears the national motto in three segments: UNITE, TRAVAIL, and PROGRES. The legend REPUBLIQUE DU CONGO arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 20 FRANCS CFA and the date 2023 are inscribed along the lower field. The design is rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field. |
