Part of Austria's "Tales and Legends" series, this 2014 issue draws on the folklore tradition that the Austrian Mint has mined periodically since the 1990s as a way to sustain collector interest in its silver program. The .900 fineness is a deliberate nod to older Austrian coinage standards rather than the more common modern .925.
