Aanvullende informatie

Saint Martin — the island divided between French and Dutch administrations since 1648 — had no independent monetary authority in 2004, making this copper pattern a curiosity of uncertain official standing. France's overseas collectivity status for the French side wasn't formalized until 2007, and the Dutch side remains part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Who authorized this piece, and under what mandate, remains genuinely unclear.
