The 1985 Vietnamese đồng series was issued against a backdrop of acute economic stress — hyperinflation was accelerating, real wages had collapsed, and the state banking system was struggling to maintain any meaningful relationship between printed denominations and purchasing power. By 1985 a major currency reform was already being planned; it arrived later that year, replacing 10 old đồng with 1 new đồng and rendering this note obsolete almost immediately after release.
The "Printed: 30.04.1945" field in the source data is almost certainly a cataloging error — that date predates the State Bank of Vietnam's existence by several years.
