Beschrijving voorzijde	The obverse is printed in orange and green tones, with a portrait vignette of Pantaléon Dalence at right, identified by his name inscribed beneath. The centre carries the bold intaglio legend VEINTE BOLIVIANOS over a fine guilloche underprint, with the Bolivian coat of arms in an oval cartouche at lower centre. The issuing authority inscription BANCO CENTRAL DE BOLIVIA and the law date LEY 901 DEL 28 DE NOVIEMBRE DE 1986 appear at the top, with two facsimile signatures below, those of the Presidente and Gerente General of the BCB.

Beschrijving keerzijde	The reverse is rendered in deep red on a light orange guilloche ground, dominated by a detailed architectural vignette of the Casa Dorada of Tarija, a colonial-era mansion, captioned CASA DORADA TARIJA beneath the building. To the left, a large numeral 20 is set within an intricate circular lathe-work design, while a second numeral 20 appears at upper and lower right. The issuing bank name BANCO CENTRAL DE BOLIVIA runs across the top, and the denomination legend VEINTE BOLIVIANOS is printed in a solid band at the bottom.
