Beschrijving voorzijde Central field displays two rampant lions sejant-addorsed, facing outward, flanking a small cross-topped orb or firesteel device between them, all beneath a crown in the upper field. The design is rendered in the bold, vigorous style characteristic of late medieval Flemish hammered coinage. A beaded inner circle encloses the central device, separating it from the surrounding legend. The circumferential inscription in Gothic uncial lettering reads MARIA DVCISSA BG COMIT FLAD, identifying Mary as Duchess of Burgundy and Countess of Flanders. The coin exhibits the characteristic irregular flan shape and uneven strike typical of hand-hammered production.

Beschrijving keerzijde Central field bears the elaborate quartered arms of Burgundy-Flanders, comprising multiple heraldic divisions including lions and fleurs-de-lis, surmounted by a crowned helmet with mantling as crest. The shield is rendered in fine detail characteristic of late 15th-century Flemish die-engraving. A beaded inner circle separates the armorial device from the surrounding marginal legend. The circumferential inscription in Gothic uncial lettering carries the Psalm verse SALVV FAC PPLM TVV DnE (Save thy people, O Lord) along with the date 1477. The flan is irregular in outline, consistent with the hammered technique employed at the Bruges mint during this period.
