The text instructs that cash payment of the face value of the stamp affixed thereto be made to the bearer upon presentation on or after 1st August 1900, with a final redemption deadline of 1st October 1900. A handwritten signature of Marshall Hole appears across the centre, accompanied by an oval administrative ink stamp and the designation 'Secretary' at lower right; the printer's imprint 'Chronicle Printing Works, Bulawayo' appears at the lower left margin. |
