The wreath is rendered in high relief with finely detailed foliage. Depending on the variety, a small rosette ornament may appear at the apex of the wreath. A small rosette or ornament appears at the apex of the wreath in certain varieties (CJ#23), while others (CJ#24) omit this element. The direction of the wreath's spiral also varies by variety — counterclockwise or clockwise — constituting the principal distinguishing features among the catalogued types. The flat field and bold serif lettering are characteristic of the Buenos Aires provincial copper issues of this period. |
