The upper portion carries a three-line issuer inscription followed by the voucher legend 'Gutschein über' in italic script. The centre is occupied by a horizontal band with the word 'PFENNIG' to either side of a large circular vignette bearing the bold numeral '2'. A manuscript signature above a serial number and the cautionary notice regarding missing numbers appear in the lower portion. |

Three small rosette ornaments are placed symmetrically at the top, centre, and bottom margins. The field is occupied entirely by a block of German text setting out the conditions of validity and redemption of the voucher at the cashier offices of the works. |
| 裏面の銘文 | Dieser Gutschein hat nur im Ammoniakwerke Gültigkeit und verliert solche, wenn er nicht innerhalb eines Monats nach erfolgter Aufforderung des Ammoniakwerkes Merseburg — durch Anschlag im Werk — eingelöst wird. Die Einlösung geschieht an den Kassestellen des Werkes. |
