R.'; the central vignette presents a war memorial sculpture of two figures on a stone pedestal set against radiating sun rays. To the left, a rectangular panel carries the payment obligation text in Fraktur alongside a circular guilloche cartouche with the denomination '2 Mark'; to the right, a corresponding panel bears the place name and date fields above the circular city seal of Schmiedeberg. | Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is printed in a multicolour letterpress scheme of black, ochre, blue, and green on cream paper. The central vignette presents a detailed townscape view of the Marktplatz and Rathaus of Schmiedeberg as it appeared in 1820, with a church steeple visible in the background beneath a cloud-filled sky. Flanking the central scene are two narrow vertical panels, each on a black ground: the left panel shows a woman in traditional Silesian folk costume carrying a basket of produce, while the right panel depicts a uniformed figure; both panels carry '2 M' denomination cartouches in blue below the figures. The caption 'Schmiedeberg im Riesengebirge' appears at top in Fraktur, with 'Marktplatz u.
